Like most Inconel alloys, Nickel Alloy 600 is a metal that has proven to be a valuable asset in the field of engineering. Generally, alloys suited to engineering, including the Class 150 ASTM B564 UNS N06600 WNRF/ BLRF Flange tend to have high ductility and very high tensile or yield strength values. The derivative of both its high strength and ductility is on account of the higher levels of nickel added in their alloy. Nickel, by itself, offers the best properties when it comes to ductility.
Inconel 600 Flanges
ASTM B564 UNS N06600 Weld Neck Flange
Inconel 600 Blind Flange
The reason why ductility is considered to be a positive point is that it permits the designer to wield the component in any shape as required by the application or the buyer. Aside from being highly ductile, these nickel alloy Inconel 600 Flanges offer a stellar performance at elevated temperatures. Most stainless steel alloys become susceptible to oxidation at higher temperatures. This is because the rate of oxidation gets accelerated, as an elevated temperature is what catalysis oxidation decay such environments.
Furthermore, it’s excellent mechanical properties ensure longevity as well as outstanding performance, despite the use of WNR 2.4816 Slip-On Flange in the presence of highly corrosive solutions. Parallel to most nickel alloys, the corrosion resistance of Inconel 600 in a reductive environment is greater than nickel singularly. Often, the ASTM B564 UNS N06600 Blind Flange is employed at varying temperature spectrums. The materials chemistry permits the user to take advantage of this particular alloy between temperatures ranging up to 2000°F. And because the alloy is so strong, the performance of Nickel Alloy 600 Weld Neck Flange at cryogenic temperatures is much sought after as an engineering material.
