From being one of the most used Hastelloy groups, Alloy C276 is one of the most versatile nickel alloys. Regarded as a superalloy, the Hastelloy C276 Pipe Bends and Socket Weld Short Radius Elbow in 45 and 90 Degree is designed to withstand several environments of highly corrosive nature. The resistance of Alloy C276 is a metal that resists reductive solutions, as it does oxidative solutions, solely due to the inclusions of nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. As is the case with most low carbon alloy, the ASTM B366 UNS N10276 Buttweld Elbow has improved weldability and the alloy is not prone to get attacked by intergranular corrosion.

UNS N10276 Buttweld Elbow
DIN 2.4819 Pipe Reducing Tee
At elevated temperatures, a higher content of carbon forms carbide precipitates, thereby sensitizing the grain boundary precipitates in the Heat affected weld zone. And so, the 2.4819 Pipe reducing Tee could be used in an as welded condition, especially if the fitting is to be a part of the chemical processing based industry. The alloy is also resistant to chloride based solutions and compounds, many of which are of a highly corrosive nature. For instance, the Nickel Alloy C276 Pipe Reducer is not only resistant to hot contaminated organic and inorganic media, but also to ferric and cupric chlorides, as well as chlorine, seawater, and brine.
Because the alloy is resistant to hypochlorite, the Hastelloy c276 Pipe fittings are a part of the textile and pulp and paper industry because the hypochlorite solution is used as a bleaching agent in these industries. Furthermore, the UNS N10276 Alloy C276 fittings can withstand corrosive acids like formic acid and acetic acids, along with acidic chemicals like acetic anhydride, and chlorine dioxide solutions.
