Aluminum is a metal that yields good results, particularly when it has been alloyed with other elements. This metal is alloyed with magnesium and silicon to form two alloys i.e. - 6063 and 6061, the former of which is very popular amongst the two. Since the material is versatile, the Aluminum Pipe Fittings manufacturer in India recommends its use for structural as well as general purposes. Along with having good mechanical properties, most aluminum alloys exhibit good weldability as well.
Aluminum Pipe Fittings
ASTM B361 Grade 6061 Elbow
ASTM B241 Gr 6082 Buttweld Tee
A precipitation-hardened grade, the ASTM B361 Aluminium 6061 Tee Fitting is very commonly extruded and is often suited to general purpose applications. More often than not, the Aluminum buttweld fittings are required to undergo tempering. Tempering not only improves the physical properties of the alloys, but tempering also increases the toughness and ductility of the ASTM B241 6063 Aluminium Elbows. Since aluminum components are cold worked, they often exhibit an elevated degree of mechanical properties.
Aside from the fact that cold working reduces problems brought on by heat processes, the Cold Forming Aluminum WP5052 Concentric & Eccentric Reducer has better dimensional stability, a smoother surface finish, along with directional properties conferred on to the material. Manufacturer use specifications such as ASTM B361 and ASTM B241 for the manufacture of fittings. To check product conformance to the said specifications, tests like a stress corrosion test as well as tension tests and hydrostatic tests are carried out on the Aluminum WP5083 End Caps as per ASME B16.9.
