CABLE WRAP is a Aluminium strip coated with sutiable sealant polymer on one side or on both sides that goes to form a continuous wrapping or covering around a bunch of telephone wires. Excel Metal manufactures the following standard Cable Wraps:

However, all final specifications are made as per agreed contract with the customer. The specification shall confirm to test methods RTM-1, RTM-2, and RTM-3.

CHARATERISTICS OF MATERIAL:
Nominal Aluminium content in the Alloy will be 99.35% minimum and confirm to Aliminium Association specification. We can also offer Alloy AA 1200 with minimum 99% Aluminium purity.

The Aluminium tape will be coated uniformly with LDPE film or Copolymer film on one or both sides with perfect lamination.

MATERIAL CONFIGURATION:
Material will be delivered in coil or jumbo roll form as requested by customer order in a single continuous length without joints or repairs. Lengths, widths and core I.D. will be as per order.

PACKING:
Free end of each coil or jumbo roll will be taped with 50 mm wide self-adhesive film tapes.
Each single coil or jumbo roll will be provided with fully legible label indicating.

• Suppliers name
• Aluminium nominal thickness
• Film nominal thickness
• Tape width
• Tape length
• Date and
• Separate OK status sticker from Quality Control department.

Coils and jumbo rolls will be packed in a wooden box. Packing of coils having like width and material specification will be considered in individual box normally. However, if this is not possible, at times EXCEL will indicate width wise contents in number of coils and weights per width on the label outside the wooden box.

Inside the box, the coils or the jumbo roll will be well fixed in order to avoid any movement in horizontal or vertical direction and to avoid any damage to the material in transit. Boxes will be strong enough to allow vertical stacking of one box over the other.

Each box will have a label or be marked with clear stenciling on the outside of the box with the following information:
• Suppliers name
• Customer’s name / Shipping mark
• Box No. / Case No.
• Specification of the material
• Net Wt.
• Gross Wt.

In case different wire packed together in the same box, gross weight and number of coils per width will be specified separately.

CONDITION OF ACCEPTANCE:
EXCEL will deliver along with the goods, TEST CERTIFICATES giving actual observed values of different parameters.

Non-confirmity to any requirement stated in the material specification, if any, will be reported by the customer as complaint to EXCEL alone with the Label (S) provided on the coil(S) for necessary investigation within a period of two months from the receipt.

EXCEL will resolve and dispose of the complaint within another month time limit.
